Border and Boundaries / Facing The Borderline
My name is Jasmine Räsänen. I am a first-year photography student from Helsinki. Photography is a way of expressing what cannot always be put into words, and it reveals things that we cannot see, experience, explain, or pay attention to.
Through my artistic expression, I ponder the profound questions about humanity and aim to make intangible concepts concrete.
My photo series Facing The Borderline explores the encountering of emotional boundaries and inner instability. When our mental boundaries cease to exist, our identity fades and inner conflict grows. The inner world turns into a horror movie, where anxiety, fear, and the worst version of ourselves plays the main character.
