My name is Julia Lönnroos. I am currently in my second year of studying Media at Prakticum.

My interpretation of Borders and Boundaries focuses on the line between the inside and the outside—something we cross every day. The outdoors represents darkness and unpredictability, while home stands for safety and peace. A locked door keeps out the cold, uncertainty, and fear, but it can also keep us separated from the world. Sometimes it feels safer to stay within our invisible boundaries, away from the noise and demands outside.

The creative process was enjoyable, and I was lucky to have the support and help of my friends and family along the way. My goal is that my images were telling a story, but maybe they also could be seen independently.
