When I think about belonging, I imagine being part of something, feeling like one whole. My first thought was the idea of being one with nature, and I wanted my model and the background to feel connected and complete.

When you blend in with your surroundings, you can feel a stronger sense of belonging. So, I decided to use paint and natural elements in my project. I wanted my photos to feel like nature scenes, where the person doesn’t stand out but instead feels part of the landscape.

I wanted the pictures to show the person as one with nature, blending into their surroundings. To create this, I painted on my model, covered them with natural materials, and even had them go into the water.
